Orphan Sponsorship
Orphan Guardians who take in Orphans are supported for a 7 year period during which time they are given inputs in order that they are in a position to support the orphans with education, food and medicine.

Support given to the Orphan guardian
Support for an orphan within the family costs 60 Euros per year or 5 Euros per month

Objective of the Orphan Programme
To assist the Orphan guardian to support the Orphans and to improve the quality of life of the family
Support given to the Orphan guardian
- Family is given fertilizer and seed (maize, beans, nuts) to ensure that they have a harvest.
- Orphan Guardians and Orphans are given training in Agriculture, Orphan Care, AIDS Education and Business
- Training in permaculture is given in order that the household can increase their food supply.
- If in crisis family are given food.
- On completion of 5 years of the scheme the Orphan guardian is given training in business and a small sum is given to start up a business of choice. If they manage their business they are given a Top-up x 3 times over a set period by which time they are expected to be managing their business.
- Meetings are held with both Guardians and orphans separately to discuss issues/ problems.
- If an orphan gets selected to go to secondary school then they are financially assisted to continue their education.
- Selected Orphans are funded to attend skills training courses.
